College Bound Parenting (CBP) is pleased to announce a partnership with the Howard County, Md National Society of Black Engineers Junior (NSBE Jr.) that will help expand student access to an innovative virtual college planning platform solution. The platform provides parents and students with effective strategies to help secure scholarships and college admissions, and ultimately a debt-free education.
“This is agreement represents a very exciting opportunity for our NSBE Jr Howard County chapter to help students pursuing STEM degrees obtain scholarships, admissions, and reduce their debt load,” said Richard Butler, Director, Howard County NSBE Jr.
The National Society for Black Engineers (NSBE) was founded in 1975 and is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the U.S. It has over 700 chapters and 21,000 active members domestic and abroad. NSBE supports and promotes the aspirations of collegiate and pre-collegiate students and technical professionals in engineering and technology.
Through CBP’s college planning & organizing system parents gain access to a comprehensive blueprint, for guiding students to scholarships and a systemic approach to college planning. CBP overall objective is to reduce the college graduation gap and assist families in graduating from college with the least amount of debt possible and create a college–success culture for students from historically underrepresented communities in higher education.
